Thank you for taking the time to book in for your Doctors Consultation and read this information leaflet. This leaflet is here to give you some background information on the appointment as well as on Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) so you feel more comfortable when it all goes ahead.
Firstly, we would like to say that we are so happy to be able to invite you to speak to the Doctor and be able to offer you TRT at Manual.
You can use the following link to get yourself booked in for a consultation at a time that suits you if you have not done so already.
From the information we have gathered already, you do have low testosterone (or may already be on treatment) and associated symptoms and this upcoming consultation with our specialist doctor will help you understand your blood test results, diagnosis and explore treatment options.
Testosterone deficiency affects as many as 1 in 4 men over the age of 30 and TRT is extremely effective when prescribed correctly! 95% of our patients see significant improvement in their symptoms.
TRT is a life-changing treatment for men with low testosterone and with our specially tailored treatment plans, you could see your Testosterone levels return to normal within 6 weeks.

What are the treatment options?
There are several ways to administer TRT, the most common plans that we provide are Testosterone Injections or topical formulations. Alongside Testosterone, we also offer HCG which might be appropriate for you.
HCG or Clomid can be used to maintain fertility for TRT patients but can also be given alongside Testosterone to boost your natural testosterone, keep your signalling pathway active and maintain testicular size.
What are the risks associated with TRT that your Doctor will discuss?
- Oestrogen related side effects
- Your Oestrogen levels can increase, so we monitor these levels closely and provide supportive treatment to control these side-effects if needed
- Symptoms include nipple itching or irritation, mood changes, and problems with your erections after an initial improvement.
- Changes to your blood pressure or “blood thickness”
- Recent evidence shows that TRT doesn’t increase your risk of heart attacks or strokes. There is a slightly increased risk of blood clots, which we monitor closely whilst you are on treatment.
- We generally advise checking your blood pressure every 2 to 3 weeks at home and informing your TRT doctor and GP if your blood pressure stays consistently above 140/90 mmHg
- Potential impact on Fertility
- Fertility can be affected in men on TRT alone, so we recommend adding HCG to your treatment regime. This helps to maintain your fertility and testicular size. If you have indicated that you would like to have children in the future, we will also provide you with a test kit to review your current sperm count. We also recommend repeating this once you have been on treatment for 6 months to monitor your fertility on TRT.
We know that the decision to start TRT can feel overwhelming and we want to make sure you are as well informed as possible about all aspects before you make the decision to get going.
We have a dedicated team of TRT Advisors who have firsthand experience of using the treatment plans and would be more than happy to have a chat with you prior to your official doctor's consultation.
You can use the following link to book to speak to one of them:
Once you have completed the Doctors consultation and you have come to a decision about your chosen plan, you can get started in that same call - the doctor can discuss the prices with you and set up your plan.
Additionally, if you are prescribed treatment, you will be provided with a TRT Treatment plan, this gives more detail on side effects and if you would like to have a read, it can be found here: TRT Treatment Plan
It might be useful to have some understanding of the pricing and subscription models that we have available, you can find this information below.
How much does treatment cost?
Manual offers a monthly subscription covering your chosen testosterone medication, along with essential services, support and follow-up consultations. Blood tests and injection supplies are not included.
The subscription for Testosterone is a minimum three-month contract and this renews upon every subsequent testosterone medication order.
Please let the team know if you have allergies to any food or medication.
As mentioned above, the Doctor might recommend that you also use HCG alongside your testosterone injection or might prescribe supportive therapy to manage your Oestrogen levels.
At Manual, we also offer tailored Injection Supplies so you can safely inject your treatment plan and this costs around £60 for the initial equipment which will last around 7-9 months. This includes:
- Needles + Syringes
- Sharps bin
- Alcohol swabs
Any further equipment can be ordered as and when needed.
Blood tests are priced outside of your medication cost and these are required at various intervals whilst you are on the plan. These are really important to ensure you are safe whilst using the medication but also make sure that your dose it ideal for you.
The pricing information can be a lot to take in, so if you have any questions about what price you might have to pay, please reply directly to the customer service email you received.
